My staple makeup products:
I love reading about makeup trends, ratings and what people use for their everyday makeup. Ingredients and reviews on products are ultimately what helps me to decide what I want to get. It's interesting to see what works for others and get some good recommendations. Hi, i'm Elena Johnson and I am obsessed with all things makeup. I work as a beauty advisor at Ulta Beauty and have spent way too much money on makeup for my own good. I'm going to share some of my staple makeup products that I absolutely cannot live without.
Starting off with my favorite base product, the Elf Halo Glow Liquid Filter. This product is like a skincare-makeup hybrid that gives the most flawless glow and help even out the complexion of the skin. I use this as foundation sometimes or a primer. It gives me the most beautiful glow without making my skin look oily. I got this product last year and have been hooked ever since.
For me, concealer is the most important part of my makeup routine. The Tarte Ultra Creamy Shape Tape does the best job at covering my dark circles and providing hydration under my eyes. If you have dry skin, this concealer is the best for hydration. It is full coverage and provides 24-hour hydration. I can't get enough of this stuff, and even though it is a little pricey, it's worth it.
The Wet n' Wild Bare Focus Clarifying Finishing powder is one of the best powders that I have found that doesn't look heavy on the skin. This powder is a light-coverage matte finishing powder that reduces the look of redness and pores. I use this to set cream makeup products and it makes my skin look flawless. This powder is also very affordable at only $3.18.
The last of my staple products is the Benefit They're Real! Magnet Extreme Lengthening mascara. This is a 34-hour lengthening mascara with a magnetic force. I have tried a lot of different mascaras over the years, but this mascara is hands-down the best one I've ever tried. It lengthens my lashes and makes them super long. The way that the brush is shaped with custom zig-zag bristles makes it perfect for lengthening the lashes. I would definitely recommend trying out this mascara.

There are so many amazing makeup products out there that it's hard to know what will work for your skin type. I've tried a variety of products and wanted to share some of my favorite products that have been total game-changers for me. Makeup is not one-size-fits-all. What works amazing for one person might be a total dud for someone else based on their skin's needs. But I'm hoping my reviews on these products can help some of you figure out if they might be worth trying for yourselves or at least give you a better idea of what to look for.
